We want to make it easy for you to get the right size gear first time. Follow these steps to find your size – or contact us for personalised advice on what size will work best for you.
Step 1. Check the sizing table below and you’ll see what size your chest and waist measurements suggest you should go for. These sizes apply across all our gear, whether it’s hoodies, t shirts, jackets, pants or shorts – but we’d always recommend reading the detailed measurements and fit notes on our product pages as some of our kit is cut to be more fitted or more relaxed.
Step 2. Take a look at the questions below and you’ll find some answers to the kind of stuff we’re often asked – like how our gear fits or how to get specific measurements on a particular piece of kit.
What if I'm between two sizes in your chart?
If your measurements suggest you’re in between two sizes, then we normally recommend going with the size that your chest measurement puts you into.
If your chest measurement is on the borderline between two sizes, then it’s all about what kind of fit you like. All our t shirts, baselayers and midlayers are highly elastic – so if you prefer a closer fit go for the smaller size, or if you prefer a looser fit, go for the bigger size.
Will my size be the same across all your kit?
The size chart above gives you a good indication of what size you’ll take in all of our kit, but because the style and fit varies across different pieces, you might want to take a size up or down for some things occasionally.
So some of our baselayers for instance are designed to be quite close fitting, while some of our ski shells are designed to be a lot looser. Whenever this is the case you’ll find detailed sizing and fit notes on the product page to help you decide.
How can I get more information about the sizing and fit for a particular product?
You’ll find sizing and fit notes on every product page – just click on the Size + Fit tab and you’ll be able to see notes on whether a piece is loose fitting or close fitting, or how the sizing compares to other Vollebak gear.
In the same tab you’ll also find detailed measurements for that product, so you can compare them to a piece of clothing you already own that fits you well.
And if you’re not sure what size will work best for you, or you have a more detailed question about the fit of a particular piece of kit, you can ask us for sizing advice here.
Can you give me personalised advice on sizing?
We love helping people with sizing – nailing it first time makes as much sense for us as it does for you. You can ask us for sizing advice here.
