Size + Fit Chart

Check the sizing table below and you’ll see what size your chest and waist measurements suggest you should go for. These sizes apply across all our gear, whether it’s hoodies, t shirts, jackets, pants or shorts – but we’d always recommend reading the detailed measurements and fit notes on our product pages as some of our kit is cut to be more fitted or more relaxed.

How to measure

  • Measure around the widest part of your chest.

  • Measure across the top of your best-fitting pair of pants, then double it to get your waist circumference. Or measure around your waist where you like your pants to sit (usually near the top of your hipbones).

  • Measure from where you like your pants to sit on your waist (usually near the top of your hipbones) down the outside of your leg to your ankle.

SIZING FAQS

If your measurements suggest you’re in between two sizes, then we normally recommend going with the size that your chest measurement puts you into.

If your chest measurement is on the borderline between two sizes, then it’s all about what kind of fit you like. All our t shirts, baselayers and midlayers are highly elastic – so if you prefer a closer fit go for the smaller size, or if you prefer a looser fit, go for the bigger size.

The size chart above gives you a good indication of what size you’ll take in all of our kit, but because the style and fit varies across different pieces, you might want to take a size up or down for some things occasionally.

So some of our baselayers for instance are designed to be quite close fitting, while some of our ski shells are designed to be a lot looser. Whenever this is the case you’ll find detailed sizing and fit notes on the product page to help you decide.

You’ll find sizing and fit notes on every product page in the Size + Fit section and you'll be able to see notes on whether a piece is loose fitting or close fitting, or how the sizing compares to other Vollebak gear.

And if you’re not sure what size will work best for you, or you have a more detailed question about the fit of a particular piece of kit, you can ask us for sizing advice using the form at the bottom of this page.

We love helping people with sizing – nailing it first time makes as much sense for us as it does for you. You can ask us for sizing advice using the form at the bottom of this page.

We cover the costs of anything you need to exchange or return. So it’s free and no hassle. If you need to exchange something for a different size, or return it because it doesn’t fit, just let us know within 30 days of receiving your order.
